This book represents the first steps in exploring the Alcoholics Anonymous community in Romania. It captures various aspects related to AA, including the history and development of AA in Romania, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on alcohol addiction recovery, aspects concerning the motivation for attaining and maintaining abstinence among AA members, and the differences between highly and low/non-affiliated individuals in terms of recovery benefits. Moreover, it creates an intricate profile of highly AA-affiliated individuals. Further research must explore other aspects related to affiliation to AA and recovery outcomes.
