Marcus Heerdt lives and works in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota in the southern Hills community of Hot Springs. His hiking adventures have taken him to each of the fifty states as well as faraway places such as Yukon Territory, Spain, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan. He lives in Hot Springs, South Dakota. Heerdt is also the author of Hiking the Black Hills Country, Third Edition (june 2021) and the upcoming Hiking South Dakota (2024).
