Following the success of the }American Servicemen{ instructions, this is the handbook distributed by the British War Office in 1944 advising British soldiers on what to expect and how to behave in newly-liberated France. Often unintentionally hilarious, its deeper purpose was to bring together two allies who did not enjoy ideal relations.
