John Lennon | John Blane

He was a musician of great creativity, but also an extraordinary character and, after his death, a legend for generations of fans who continue to adore him. John Lennon has been this and much more: his life was too short for him to fully express all the talent he possessed, but in spite of this he wrote some of the most beautiful and famous songs of the 20th Centruy. This volume is dedicated to his career, which started in Liverpool in 1962 with the world famous band, The Beatles, and to his life which ended tragically in New York on December 8th, 1980. The book presents images and documents that witness the most important elements and events in Lennons life: the origin of his most favourite Beatles songs and how they came about; his relationship with his fellow Beatles and other musicians; his attitude toward social revolution and drugs; his separation from the Beatles; and the tenderness of his love for Yoko Ono.
