Kim Heacox is the author of several books on biography, history, and conservation, plus a novel, Caribou Crossing, about the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Kim was a writer-in-residence at Cambridge University's Scott Polar Research Institute in 1998, and in Denali National Park in 2012. He has written feature articles for many national magazines and opinion-editorials for the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, and Anchorage Daily News.
