Small State, Great Story - Mihai Marcel Marcovici

Small State, Great Story Romania’s Identity Between History, Power, and Perception n n Every small state lives inside a truth it never chose. Long before it can write its own story, its fate is already being shaped by a struggle for power among nations far larger than itself. It is the premise realism has insisted on since the discipline began - and the starting point from which this book sets out to test, two centuries of Romanian history at a time, whether power is the whole story, or only half of it. International politics, like all politics, is a struggle for power. - Hans J. Morgenthau
