The Tree Dispensary presents an appreciation of trees as the author has experienced them through everyday life, as a herb historian, and as a herbalist. Each of the thirty native trees discussed is examined at in three parts: The first 'Getting to know the Tree' covers a wide area of general knowledge from cultivation experience to cookery, wines, crafts and folklore.
